Rainy Day Friends: Hidden Meadows Women’s Social Group

Community

The rain didn’t slow these women down. They showed up with salads and desserts and all types of goodies. These dishes complimented our warm and wonderful host’s baked potato bar and homemade chili. Summer’s beautiful home on Cerveza Court drew a crowd of nearly 20 women from Hidden Meadows and Rimrock.

Summer loves Christmas and still had a beautiful tree and a large Christmas village up for all to enjoy. That and a warm fire in the fireplace made this a truly warm gathering.

Nine people posted on Evite after the gathering say what a great time they had. Karla said, “Wonderful evening, great food, lovely ladies”. Wilma’s post reads “Thanks for the great get together, Summer! It was fun.” And Wilma volunteered to host the group’s November social!

The Hidden Meadows Women’s Social Group gathers monthly to network, chat, and share what is new in the neighborhood. The group is encouraged to use the group’s Facebook page to share news on upcoming events and to look for friends to join them in activities. Some are crafty and go to Marsha’s art classes; some go to exercise classes with trainer Amy Van Liew. Others gather for monthly walks in the neighborhood. It is a great group for making friends and getting involved if that’s what you like. Then many just come monthly for the pleasant social with neighbors.

The group generally meets on the second Thursday of the month at 6 p.m. at one of the members’ homes. The next social will be at the home of Patti Preston in The Summit. If you are interested in coming to one of the upcoming socials, send an email to Linda Collins at Hmwsg92026@gmail.com. (RSVPs are required.)
