News from the Boulder Oaks Women’s Golf Club

The Boulder Oaks Women’s Golf Club Christmas Party was held on December 15. They played golf in the morning, followed by the party. The party started with a short meeting to approve changes in the club’s 2017 bylaws and standing rules.
Mary Jo Moore handed out new Membership Booklets for 2017. Business was followed by a wonderful lunch as we awarded a few prizes, installed our 2017 officers, and drank a little holiday cheer as in champagne and wine.
The Most Improved player of the year was Ellen Koury. Ellen is a low handicap golfer which makes it much more difficult to become the most improved. Congratulations, Ellen. Sandra Watkins installed officers by using unique words that described each officer’s qualities.
SWEEPS RESULTS
Nov 17: Turkey Shoot: Winning team was Sue Winje, Renee Neuzil, Pauly Schoolcraft, and Donna Williams. Ellen Koury was closest to the pin.
Nov 24: Thanksgiving. No golf.
Dec 1: Low/Net Ace. Renee Neuzil was Ace of the month. 2nd was Sue Winje, and Renee won the Closest to Pin.
Dec 8: Ace of Aces Tournament. Ace of the year was Ellen Koury, Queen of the year was Sandra Watkins.
Dec 15: O.N.E.S. 1st was Dorothy Aleshire, 2nd was Donna Williams, and 3rd was Mary Jo Moore.
