SWEEP RESULTS
Oct 26: Best Nine: Pick your best 9 holes less 1/2 handicap. This week winners were: Mary Jo Moore, first with a net 20. Second place was a tie between Elissa Hamilton and Kathryn Christenson with a net 25.
Nov 2: Ace of the Month (low net score). Jude Begell was ace of the month with a net score of 66, Donna Huhn was second and Queen with a net 71, and Elissa Hamilton was third with a net 72.
Nov 9: Criss Cross: First place was won by Mary Jo Moore with a net 25, Sue Winje was second with a net 26.5 and third place was Kathryn Christenson with a net 28.
Nov 16: Turkey Shoot. 2 best balls. First place was won by the team of Donna Williams, Sue Winje, Pauly Schoolcraft, and Renee Neuzil. Kathryn Christenson, Jude Begell, and Susie Hill came in second, and Elissa Hamilton, Janet Dopp, and Mary Jo Moore placed third.
THIS AND THAT
What!! A Hole-In-One?? Yes, that’s right! On Nov 9, Kathryn Christenson got a hole-in-one on hole number 9, Par 3. I was playing with her and therefore an active witness, yelling and screaming as we watched the ball roll into the hole! Congratulations to Kathryn. Free drinks were offered to all present.
There are lots of things going on now with the holidays approaching. Elections, Ace of the Year Tournament, Christmas Party, etc. Our Christmas Party will be held on December 14, and this year for the first time in years, it will be held at our club house. We have excellent cooks and a restaurant that is open. Things have improved at Boulder Oaks and the ladies club wants to support our home club house.
We are collecting dues for membership for 2018. We welcome new members. Come out and play with us. We are a relatively small group with handicaps from 14 to 40. We play red tees, white tees, and the white combos. Something for everyone.
MOST IMPROVED PLAYER
The most improved golfer for October is Paulette Schoolcraft. She started with a hdcp of 22.4 and ended with a hdcp of 21.4. In second place is Ellen Koury who started with a hdcp of 13.7 and ended with a hdcp of 13.1.
This month November will give us the most improved golfer for the year. So get out and play a lot of golf so you can improve your handicap.
