November 18th will be an exciting day at Boulder Oaks Golf Course
I hope you have November 18th marked on your calendar, because it’s going to be an exciting day for our community. On that Saturday, the Hidden Meadows Community Foundation will be joining together with the Boulder Oaks Golf Course to put on a great charity golf tournament that that will benefit our median beautification project. Not only that, Hidden Meadows is also going to experience its first-ever helicopter ball drop!
What is a helicopter ball drop you ask? Well, its a fun event during which a helicopter will hover over the golf course for a few seconds to drop hundreds of numbered balls on the putting green. The owner of the ball that drops into the hole or is closest to the pin will win $500. For a mere $10 a ball, anyone can purchase a chance to win. You don’t even need to be present to win. (Who would want to miss such an cool event though?!) We hope everyone in the neighborhood comes out for this unique experience, which will take place around 5:00 p.m.
We have lots of people signing up for the tournament, and we still have room for more. The tournament fee is only $75 and includes a golf cart and dinner. There will be on-course contests, raffle prizes and more. Go to www.hmcf.accelraising.com for more information and to register.
For those of you not into golf, consider joining us for dinner. The “Dinner Only” option is available on the event website for $25/person. You may also want to come in to bid on the auction items that will be on display all day in the Oaks Bar & Grill.
In sum, November 18 is going to be a great opportunity to have fun, come together as a community and support the Median Beautification project.
We at the Community Foundation are so grateful to Mr. Kim and Mike Skala (the owner and manager of the Boulder Oaks Golf Course) for offering to host this special event.
P.S. If you would like to see what a helicopter ball drop looks like, go to the tournament website for cute video of a similar event.
