Neighbors Helping Neighbors

Community

By CHRISTINA STENDALL

The Hidden Meadows Community Foundation is proud to reintroduce our “Families-In-Crisis” program under the new name of “Neighbors Helping Neighbors.” The goal of the program is to help our community with short term crises that can happen for families in Hidden Meadows during every day life. Examples include house fires, the sudden passing of a primary breadwinner, job loss of a primary breadwinner, unexpected illness or accidents, and support for neighbors through other difficult times. The support will range from grants approved by the committee, to short-term loans to recipients, and referrals to other county-sponsored resources.

If you or a neighbor is experiencing hardship please know that there is support and help to get you through tough times. Referrals for the program can be self-directed or by anonymously contacting Foundation Board members or Neighbors Helping Neighbors committee chair, Christina Stendall at tinahelwig@gmail.com.
