HM Women’s Social Group: You’ve Got A Friend

Community

By Susan Wolking

Ever walk into a party where you don’t know a soul?  It can feel awkward and intimidating.  Not for long, though, if the party is one of the monthly gatherings of the Hidden Meadows Women’s Social Group.  You’ll never meet a friendlier group of gals!

I had just moved to Hidden Meadows when I attended my first Women’s Social.  Lori Enfield, the hostess that night, put me immediately at ease, and I met a least a dozen lovely women that have since become dear friends.  I went away pinching myself at how lucky my husband and I were to have found such a wonderful community.

The group’s most recent party was just another example.  Each month, we meet at a different members’ home and the hostess in April was Jody Granger, who greeted us all with enthusiastic bear hugs.  Her house in Rimrock sports a spectacular view and gorgeous murals on the walls and ceiling.  (One in the dining room was actually painted by an artist that did work for Bellagio Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.)  All of us gals contributed to the potluck meal, and the conversations were lively and covered a wide range of topics.

The HM Women’s Social Group meets monthly, usually on the third Thursday.  If you would like to get on the invitation list just send your email address and phone number to Linda Collins at: Hmwsg92026@gmail.com.
