Annie Laurie Rochester of Hidden Meadows, Escondido went home to the Lord at 1:35 p.m. on May 23 at her home surrounded by her beloved family and caregivers.

Annie, the daughter of John and Florence Foster, was born on June 24, 1925 in Jonesville, SC.

Annie met her future husband, Virgil, “Rocky”, Rochester, when they were under the age of five years old. They reconnected as young adults and married in 1947. Annie was a homemaker her entire life. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed golfing and spending time with her husband, Virgil, on their avocado ranch.

Surviving family is her husband of 70 years, Virgil Rochester, her four children, Phyllis Vaquera of San Marcos CA, Patricia Hylton of Lindsay CA, Virgil Rochester Jr. of Las Vegas and John Rochester of Germany.  Other survivors are her ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Viewing will be held May 2nd at Allen Brothers Mortuary, San Marcos from 10 a.m. to noon, followed by internment at Miramar National Cemetery at 2:30.
